Event Organiser Consent

In most cases, Real Sports is appointed directly by the event organiser, host venue, school, club, or sporting organisation.

By engaging Real Sports, the organiser confirms that they have the necessary authority to arrange media coverage for the event and, where applicable, to obtain any required participant consents.

Participants

Participation in a public sporting event where Real Sports has been appointed as the official media provider may result in photographs or video recordings being captured during normal event coverage.

Our cameras primarily focus on the sporting event rather than individual spectators.

Children and Junior Sport

Real Sports regularly covers school and junior sporting events.

We recognise that children deserve additional protection.

Where events involve minors:

Our aim is always to celebrate achievement while protecting participants' privacy.

  • We work closely with event organisers, schools, clubs, and governing bodies.
  • We expect organisers to obtain any permissions required under their own participation or registration processes.
  • We do not intentionally publish content that could place a child at risk.
  • We avoid identifying children by unnecessary personal information unless specifically authorised or publicly appropriate (for example, tournament winners or official team announcements).

Interviews

Where practical, we will seek verbal consent before conducting recorded interviews.

For interviews involving minors, permission should be obtained through the event organiser, school, club, parent, or legal guardian where appropriate.
